Baby Shower

This last Saturday my wonderful sister threw me a baby shower. I had so much fun. Thanks Andy for putting that all together and to all those who helped make it so special. We even played my favorite party game, the dice game (in a nutshell the goal is to roll doubles and then you get to pick out and steal prizes from others once you roll a double). Growing up I went to a small country church which never failed to play the dice game at any baby shower, bridal shower, or other ladies get together. Grace is also now very well outfitted and ready for bath time (I must admit all the bath stuff was so cute I may have added quite a lot of towels, washcloths, even an inflatable ducky tub to my registry at Target).

Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure:

Both my grandmas were able to come. I love them both!

Here is a picture of the yummy cake (we are actually going to spell her middle name Elisabeth)

Then came the task of starting to organize the babies room. I think being 30 weeks along may signify time to start putting the nursery together. :) So Sunday after church I went through most of the clothes I have been given and I am so excited to get to dress my little girl in all her cute outfits. I then went to Lowes and picked out the paint color, a soft cheery yellow. I think I may begin the painting process this weekend (with Joe's help of course). But things are coming together. Grace constantly lets me know she's there by her kicks and somersaults which I absolutely love. I can't wait to meet her. Only 10 weeks to go. Below is a picture of me at 29 weeks.

A weekend away

This weekend Joe and I finally got a chance to use one of our wedding gifts (we are coming up on 2 years of marriage march 17th). Joe's sister and her husband, Pam and Jason, gave us a weekend away at a worldmark resort. We chose to go to Seaside, and I'm so glad we did. There is nothing quite like the smell and feel of the ocean air. It was wonderful to get away from normal life and spend some time together. My wonderful husband has been working so hard lately. I am so proud of how well he takes care of me and our coming baby girl, Grace. He is such a capable man and the fact that he wants to always do his best, even when he could get by with a lot less, speaks to his high character. So thanks hun for working so hard. I love you and appreciate you more than I could ever say! (Okay I'm done bragging about my husband... for now.)

On the way home we stopped by the Tillamook and ate a yummy ice cream cone and some squeaky cheese. Unfortunately we brought the camera only to realize I left the battery charging at home so, sorry no pictures of our weekend get-away, but I thought whoever reads this might like to see a newer pic of baby Grace. She keeps on growing and growing. I think its about time I take a trip to Old Navy for some new tank tops that actually fit. I am 25 weeks along in this pic.
